Damian Oyong is a PhD student with Dr Michelle Boyle and Prof Ric Price through Menzies School of Health Research in Darwin. His current research focuses on understanding complement-mediated protection and pathogenesis pathways in malaria. His recent work involves investigating age-associated factor in the induction of specific complement-fixing antibodies during Vivax malaria. Other work includes investigating pathogenesis of Falciparum and Vivax malaria anaemia through complement regulatory proteins loss.
